I give Georgie full credit for making my purchase of a house I love happen! We had a difficult seller situation; he was representing himself and had not hired a real estate agent. Georgie stepped up and did the work that would/should have been done by his agent. She was diplomatic in handling the seller’s often unreasonable demands; she “read the room” and plugged into the delicate interpersonal balance required to get compliance from the seller. Also, she always responded quickly to my questions and concerns. I am so grateful, in this difficult housing market, to have worked with Georgie. I have heard several folks say, “Oh Georgie’s the best,” “you couldn’t do better,” “you’re in good hands,” and “you made a good choice going with Georgie.” Even at the closing, the seller made further demands and she set about producing paperwork that protected me to get the closing accomplished. I grew up in Maine and moved away years ago. It became time when my brother and I decided to sell the family farmhouse, which has been in the family over 100 years. We tried to sell it on our own but without success,,There are several realtors in the area and we had to choose ..I spoke to several acquaintances I knew and a couple recommended Georgie.. After interviewing her on the phone, I knew she was the right person,,,she was enthusiastic and her family has a farm! She met me at the farmhouse and she made several recommendations, one being to remove the carpets and show the beautiful pine floors, along with other recommendations. She was actively showing the property and receiving offers, all which we turned down….finally an offer from a person that wanted to use it as a farm. perfect!! I would highly recommend Georgie as a realtor that will work hard for you. She kept me up to date throughout the entire process, and living out of state this was important to me. Georgie Kendall of Realty of Maine handled a camp purchase, home purchase, and home sale, and made it seem easy. She is very in tune with the legal details and the hearts and minds of her various people and their concerns. She encourages and goes to bat when unforeseen bumps in the road happen and always goes the extra mile to let you feel professionally and personally cared for and attended to during the whole process. <p>My wife and I were shopping for a home in Washington County and we were from out of state. Georgie came recommended to us by another Realtor from Bar Harbor and being new to the area we soon realized our fortune to have found such a great Realtor. Georgie was patient helping us to plan our 5-day itinerary which included 12 to 15 showings over 5 days. Ultimately my wife and I decided to bid on a Fannie Mae foreclosure and the process we had to follow was not typical of a regular real estate closing. Georgie was right there attentive to every detail as we explored the bidding and negotiating process and the closing. My wife Simone and I could not be more grateful for the assistance, the professional courtesy, and the exemplary business-like manor by which Georgie facilitated our sale.
