I was born and raised in rural Downeast Maine. The natural beauty, close-knit communities, and strong family connections are what keep me rooted here. I love the slower pace of life that Maine offers and enjoy riding the dirt roads across the blueberry barrens, spending time at the lake with family, or hiking one of Maine’s many mountains.

I graduated from the University of Maine in 2003 with a BA in Psychology. After graduation, I worked in the special education field until I started my own family. I later returned to education, earned my teaching certification, and have spent the past nine years as a special education teacher in a K–6 school.
